MarineShaft supported M/V Polaris Liberty during dry-dock repairs in Klaipėda, Lithuania, after scoring was found in fitted bolt holes on the intermediate shaft/coupling flange connection. We supplied 14 new 42CrMo4 bolts (Ø95 × 289 mm) with oversized bodies, delivered with a 3.2 LR certificate. Two of our service engineers performed in-situ machining of the 12 damaged bolt holes using portable equipment, completing the work in three days. The shipyard completed final bolt diameter machining to match hole dimensions.
