Overhaul of Gearbox Housing

We offer complete repair and overhaul of gearbox housings and gear shafts, carried out with class-approved techniques and advanced technology. The process begins with inspection and dismantling, followed by thorough cleaning and non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify internal damage or fatigue. Based on the findings, we prepare a detailed repair proposal for class approval before proceeding.
Machining and welding are performed using precision equipment to restore all functional surfaces.

In cases of bearing failure or deformation, we rebuild bearing areas using Inconel 625 and laser cladding technology, ensuring optimal durability and wear resistance. Final machining ensures that original dimensions and tolerances are fully restored. After reassembly with new or reconditioned components, we carry out alignment and functional testing. The process concludes with class inspection and full documentation.

Case Study: Overheated Bearing Damage

Gearbox Sent from Brazil for Urgent Repair

Following overheating of a bearing, the gearbox sustained extensive damage, as shown in the project photos. The delivery time for a new gearbox housing from the manufacturer was significantly long, so the unit was shipped from Brazil to our workshop in Denmark for repair.

Our team carried out a complete overhaul, including class-approved laser cladding to rebuild damaged surfaces. The repair restored all components to original dimensions and tolerances, meeting class requirements.

This solution provided a rapid turnaround, saving the owner considerable time and cost compared to replacement.
