When Emma Maersk grounded in the Suez Canal a hole in the thruster tunnel caused floating of the engine room.

The repair solution was a temporary repair with a steel plate. Late fall 2016 during docking in Shanghai our service team went on-site and carried out laser alignment, machining and fitting of a new foundation flange for thruster unit in tunnel pipe.
